Program Objectives and Learning Outcomes of the Master of Civil Engineering Programs

1. Program Objectives
The Master of Civil Engineering programs are designed to develop students’ expertises through advanced courses in research and engineering:
a. Master of Civil Engineering (Research)

Goal No.1: Have a good view of economics, politics, law and society; Have good background of advanced practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of civil engineering; Be able to transfer to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program.

Goal No.2: Be able to analyse, synthesize, evaluate data to solve problems in civil engineering major; Have ability to conduct research independently; Be honest, professional responsibility and professional behaviour.

Goal No.3: Have great communication skills; Be able to work in teams; Have great English skills for academic communication purpose.

Goal No.4: Be able to develop research and design ideas through literature review; Be ab;e to operate, supervise and manage different projects; Be able to apply for different research and teaching positions in the field of civil engineering.
b. Master of Civil Engineering (Industry-based)
