1. Programme Information

1.1. Aim and Overview 

This workshop provides participants with a structured research driven approach to monitor and review the implementation of the CDIO in the different curricula. In this workshop, participants will learn to identify research questions central to understanding the impact of key aspects of the CDIO implementation. They will develop an evaluation design and data collection plan, and use the evaluation data for program evaluation

1.2. Programme Objectives (Deliverables)

At the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to:

• Identify the key components that make up an Integrated Academic Quality Management System

• Conduct program evaluation based on CDIO 12 Standards

• Understand the difference between CDIO evaluation at the program and course levels

• Design an evaluation plan at the course level

• Design questions for data collection

• Understand how to use the evaluation data for program improvement

1.3. Course Participants and Requirements

• The workshops are targeted at the following groups of participants:

  • Program Managers

  • Faculty Programme Developers

  • Teaching Faculty

• The programme participants must have completed Component 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the CDIO workshop.

• Participants should have a basic foundation in English to facilitate understanding of the workshop presentations and learning activities.

• Some of the participants will be trained to be Specialist Master Trainers, who shall then train the next tier of programme participants
