AUN-QA and ABET requirements related to program stakeholder input from business and industry will be reviewed to provide perspective on why such input is important and how it should be used. Linkages from these requirements to the pre-work IAB best practices will be discussed

Who and How?

Understanding the need for and knowing some best practices for an IAB are only first steps to implementation. Who do you chose to be on your program’s IAB? How do you form an IAB? How do you set expectations for what the IAB and its members will do (the best practices give you some guidance)? These topics will be addressed by the speaker with table work sessions allowing participants to consider implementation difficulties and opportunities

IAB Input and Meetings

Once the IAB is formed, the program must engage the IAB in providing input and support to the program. Best practices in seeking such input and managing meetings in productive ways will be address and discussed by table teams

Documentation and Sustainability

How to document an IAB meeting to meet the needs of AUN-QA and ABET will be presented. Best practices on sustaining an active IAB will be provided based on the presenter’s experience of over 13 years working with an IAB for two programs
