FACULTY-LEVEL SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR AND MEETING OF EDUCATION QUALITY ASSURANCE COUNCIL

ACULTY-LEVEL SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR
On the morning of December 23, 2024, at the office of the Faculty of Environment - Danang University of Technology, a Faculty-level scientific seminar was held with 2 topics:

•    Report 1: Research on the current situation and propose solutions for solid waste and hazardous waste management at the University of Technology - Danang University", presented by MSc. Hoang Ngoc An. The content focuses on assessing the current status of waste management at the school, analyzing existing problems and proposing sustainable solutions to optimize the collection and treatment process of solid and hazardous waste.

•   Report 2: Product life cycle assessment on water systems, presented by PhD. MSc. Mai Thi Thuy Duong. Analyzing environmental impacts throughout the entire life cycle of the water system, and proposing improvement solutions to minimize negative impacts on the environment.

The seminar was chaired by the head of the faculty, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Huan and was successfully held successfully with the participation of all lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Environment.

MEETING OF THE FACULTY-LEVEL EDUCATION QUALITY ASSURANCE COUNCIL

On the morning of December 25, at the office of the Faculty of Environment, a meeting of the faculty-level education quality assurance council was also held. The council chaired by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Huan, Vice Dean, Dr. Phan Nhu Thuc, Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering, Dr. Le Nang Dinh and Head of the Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Phuoc Cuong. On the student side, Dang Quang Huy, class 22QLMT, participated in contributing ideas.

The meeting emphasized the effectiveness of teaching and ensuring the output quality of the courses undertaken by the Faculty of Environment's lecturers and staff, especially the method of guiding students in carrying out their subject projects and graduation projects. In addition, the meeting participants also discussed and proposed reasonable methods to publicly and transparently disclose the results of course evaluation to ensure objectivity and the construction of a learning and competitive environment for students. In the context of increasing demand for in-depth and diverse study of majors and degrees, the meeting also discussed and proposed plans to open a major in Water Supply and Drainage and a master's training program for the major in Natural Resources and Environment Management. Thus, in addition to teaching and research, the teachers and staff in the Faculty of Environment always want to ensure the best training quality and bring about the development orientation of professional knowledge as well as career prospects for students.
