On the morning of November 15, 2024, within the framework of scientific cooperation and technology transfer, the Faculty of Environment organized a meeting and academic exchange with Professor Yamaoka Satoshi of Utsunomiya University, Japan on the field of management and sanitation of urban water supply pipeline systems and clean water tanks, with the participation of Director Satoshi Nakazato, representing the enterprise applying and supplying equipment.
This is a new, advanced and modern solution to clean pipes and tanks quickly and effectively. This method has been applied not only in Japan but also in many countries around the world. The system uses a remote-controlled robot through a camera mounted on a real-time observation device in the pipe system and at the bottom of the water tank.
The exchange was very meaningful for lecturers of the Faculty of Environment to approach the practical implementation of an urban water supply network. The exchange and cooperation between the two sides brought promises of scientific research and internships for students in the future at Japanese enterprises.
