1. Introducing the project
Welcome to our collaborative project, aimed at developing sustainable business models and technical solutions for water utilization in The Netherlands and Viet Nam. As we face increasing challenges in water quality and availability due to climate change, demographic growth, and industrial pollution, innovative approaches are essential.
A parallel aim is by having you as students from different countries working together on common projects, you get to share and exchange knowledge and cultural insights to encourage you to understand and respect the cultural customs and practices of your international peers.
2. Project description
24 students from Saxion University - Netherlands, 16 students from the Faculty of Environment, DN University of Technology (DUT) and 16 students from DN University of Economics (DUE).
56 students are divided into 8 groups, each group has 7 members, group members come from different majors and nationalities to ensure intercultural online learning. Each group includes 2 DUT students + 2 DUE students + 3 Saxion University students. These students will work online in the Smart Solutions program 4 days/week from Monday to Friday, with at least 8 hours per week on this project.
Each group will be guided by a lecturer on the process and content: 2 lecturers from the Faculty of Environment - Polytechnic University, 2 lecturers from the University of Economics and 4 lecturers from Saxion University - Netherlands.
3. Time: The program will be implemented in 11 weeks from September 16, 2024 to November 28, 2024.
4. Task: At the end of the program, each group will present a powerpoint report lasting about 10 minutes: a concrete practical advice on what impactful water business models look like, a smart action plan, a clear business case detail.
