ASEAN firms and organizations aim to revive cross-border internships during a pandemic

AHDO and VNHR organized a webinar titled  “Making ASEAN Cross-Border Internships Work”, bringing executives from various organizations in ASEAN to discuss how virtual internships and visa issuances could help revitalize cross-border internships and talent mobility in the region.

Plastics: Change the System or It Will Destroy Us

Plastic pollution in oceans is quickly rising as one of the most concerning environmental issues of the 21st century. Ms. Maggie Lee, the Program Management Officer for the Southeast Asia Circular United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), is working on reducing marine plastics as part of an initiative by UNEP. She elaborates on the surprising causes of marine plastic litter, the consequences of that litter, as well as evaluating some of the solutions adopted by countries around the world.

Postgraduate Program

2021 Ph.D. program in Sustainable Leadership (International Program) at the College of Management, Mahidol University and double Ph.D. program from Macquarie University

The application deadline is on May 24, 2021.

• Applicants can apply for full scholarships.  Via its Doctoral Research Fellowship program, the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD) offers three full scholarships for qualified ASEAN nationalities to study in the Ph.D. program in Sustainable Leadership at CMMU Center for Research on Sustainable Leadership.
• Applicants can apply for an option to do one thesis to receive two Ph.Ds. from CMMU, Mahidol University and Macquarie Business School, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.

• Be an ASEAN national
• Have a strong interest in sustainability issues related to ASEAN societies
• Demonstrate potential to make an impact to the ASEAN society after graduation
• Have research to find a sound solution to complex sustainability issues related to ASEAN societies from the perspective of managing and leading for sustainable development in any sector (e.g. business, community, education or agriculture).
