DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATIONAL TESTING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
Clause 13. Function
The DETQA has the function in consulting, assisting the Rector on the folowing works: educational testing, educational quality assurance; quality assessment and accreditation at program and university level;
Clause 14. Duties
1. Quality assurance and assessment
a. Consulting the Rector on strategies, objectives and policies for quality assurance, assessment, stratification and ranking;
b. Taking the lead and coordinating with other DUT units in building projects, regulation, documents related to quality assurance activities, self-assessment, peer-assessment, accreditation, quality assurance information system, key performance indicators system.
c. Guiding DUT units to implement quality assurance, assessment, accreditation, KPI system according to the regulations and plans of the DUT;
d. Establishing and implementing national and international programs, projects in educational quality assurance, accreditation and university ranking.
2. Testing
a. Consulting the Rector on strategies, objectives and policies for educational testing;
b. Taking the lead and coordinating with other DUT units in building projects, regulations and documents related to the formulation, storage and useage of test items bank; organizing common examinations, input and yearly test on English competency; jointly organizing the output standard test on English competency; organizing appeal procedure;
c. Guiding DUT units to implement the testing according to the regulations and plans of the DUT;
d. Establishing and implementing national and international programs, projects in educational testing area.
3. Competence Training
a. Consulting the Rector on strategies, objectives and policies for leader, academic and support staff training on quality assurance, accreditation, testing and instructional pedagogy;
b. Taking the lead and coordinating with other DUT units in building projects, regulation, documents related to competence training on: educational testing; outcome-based curriculum design and development; teaching and learning methodologies, assessment and evaluation techniques; quality assurance, self-assessment, peer-assessment, internal quality assessment; quality assurance information system; key performance indicators system;
c. Guiding DUT units to coordinately participate the competence training according to the regulations and plans of the DUT.
4. Other duties
a. Editing and issuing publication for testing, quality assurance, assessment, accreditation and competence training for DUT;
b. Coordinating with other DUT units in performing tasks related to the work scope of DETQA and other tasks as assigned by the Rector.
