The 20th International Symposium on Advanced Technology (ISAT) took place successfully with many useful scientific solutions

The 20th ISAT (International Symposium on Advanced Technology) conference was held online on November 23 and 24, 2021, with the hosting of Kogakuin University (Japan).

ISAT is a conference focused on collaborative research between universities in the applied sciences, to address pressing national and societal issues.

The conference was initiated by Kogakuin University (Japan) in 2002 and is held annually, alternating between 04 universities including University of Science and Technology - UD, Kogakuin University (Japan), and University of Science and Technology, South Taiwan University of Technology (STUST) and the University of Los Baños Philippines (UPLB).

The conference was held online due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic

Opening the Conference, there was the attendance of Prof. Shinichiro Ito - Rector of Kogakuin University; GS. Lu, Deng-Maw – Rector of Southern Taiwan Technical University; Prof. Jose D.Camacho, Jr - President of the University of Los Baños Philippines. On the side of University of Science and Technology, UD had the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of the University and lecturers who presented scientific topics. The conference attracted the attendance of more than 150 scientists, researchers, and lecturers from the four universities mentioned above.

Speaking at the Conference, Assoc. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of the school expressed his pride to be one of the four sponsors of ISAT. ISAT annual conference aims to promote innovations in Science and Technology under the guidance of scientists and researchers towards solving pressing problems of society. ISAT-20 with the main theme is "Advanced Technology for Sustainable Development", including contents related to the fields of Biochemistry and Chemical Sciences, Pharmaceutical and Synthetic Chemistry, Information Technology, etc. Information and communication, Energy and transport, Architecture and Construction… He believes that with the scientific topics discussed at the Conference, the 17 sustainable development goals set out by the United Nations 2015.

Speaking at the closing session of the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of the University said that in 2022 University of Science and Technology, UD will be the host for the 21st ISAT. He hopes to welcome scientists, researchers, and lecturers from universities to visit at University of Science and Technology and looks forward to receiving cooperation and support from universities for next year's conference.

At the Closing session, the Conference Organizing Committee expressed gratitude to Assoc.
