The Conference of Scientific Research Students of the Faculty of Architecture in the academic year 2021-2022

On February 19, 2022, at Conference room S02.01 in the University of Science and Technology, the Conference of Scientific Research Students of the Faculty of Architecture in the academic year 2021-2022 took place successfully.

Attending to the Conference, the Organizing Committee would like to welcome the delegates, representatives of Polytechnic University, representatives of the City Association of Architects, businesses and alumni.

On the side of the representative of the Association of Architects of Da Nang City, there was the attendance of MSc. Architects. Tran Thi Anh Tuyet

On the side of the Faculty of Architecture, there were Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Dean, MSc. Nguyen Xuan Trung – Vice Dean of Faculty of Architecture, Head of Conference Organizing Committee. Along with the teachers and members of the Organizing Committee, the Project Judging Committee, the lecturers guiding the research groups, lecturers of the Faculty of Architecture and more than 40 students and alumni.

On the Enterprise side, there was Mr. Maeda Yohei - Production Manager of LIXIL Vietnam Co., Ltd. branch in Quang Nam.

After more than 03 hours of working with 11 topics participating in the report, the Organizing Committee has selected 05 research topics with the highest results:
01 First Prize:
Topic: "Study on the effectiveness of using common flat roofs in architectural works"
Student: Pham Nguyen Hung, Pham Duy Hung, Nguyen Cong Lam
GVHD: Dr. Le Truong Di Ha
01 Second Prize:
Subject: "Study on traditional architectural and decorative features, applying design to cultural center of A So village, Ma Cooih, Quang Nam"
Students: Dang Truong An, Ho Van An, Nguyen Ngoc Tinh, Hoang Kim Tu
GVHD: MSc. Do Hoang Rong Ly
01 Third Prize:
Topic: "Research and application of Containers to meet the needs of responding to the Covid-19 pandemic"
Student: Ha Ngoc Khanh Chi, Le Xuan Vinh Khang, Ho Van Son, Truong Cong Tam
GVHD: Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan
02 Consolation Prizes:
1. Theme: "Understanding the urban identity and architecture of Hanoi in the period 1873-1902 through the generative method"

2. Theme: “Research to improve living space for the elderly and people with disabilities”

Also in the Conference, the representative of LIXIL company awarded scholarships to 05 students of the Faculty of Architecture with excellent academic achievements.
Faculty of Architecture would like to thank the University of Science and Technology, the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, and businesses for creating the most favorable conditions and supporting for the Student Conference to do scientific research in the Faculty of Architecture. Architecture year 2021-2022 and Lixil Inax Scholarship Award 2021 were performed successfully!
