International Conference: "Internet of Things and Its Application In Smart Grid Power Transmission Monitoring"

    After a delay and a format change due to COVID-19, the “Internet of Things and Its Application In Smart Grid Power Transmission Monitoring” Conference has been organized by Da Nang Polytechnic Institute of Science and Technology in the morning of July 29, 2021. Planned originally as an in-person conference in Danang University of Science and Technology, it instead went ahead as an international virtual conference.

    Attending the conference, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Lan - Director of Danang Polytechnic Institute of Science and Technology; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Tan Khoi – Dean of Information Technology Faculty; Leaders and representatives of power transmission units, universities, research institutes, scientists and researchers from Viet Nam, Indonesia, France, Russia,….

    There were 2 sessions of presentation and 1 session of exchange and discussion on the topics: Deploying Integrated IoT System for Remote Monitoring of Power Transmission Line Corridor; Vision-based Intelligent Surveillance System: Concept and Applications; Deployment of Low Power Wide Area Network Lora in Danang City for IoT Applications; The Application of Science and Technology in the Management and Operation of Power Transmission Grid at Power Transmission Company No2 (PTC2); Minimizing Latency for Multiple-Type Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor Networks; Application of IoT & Artificial Intelligence technologies in smart buildings; Research And Application of AI for Intelligent Virtual Assistant; The Advanced Monitoring Solution Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain; An IoT Reconfiguration Framework Applied Ontology based Model by using Bayesian Network for Context Management; Some Research Results of Infrastructure Monitoring Technology Transfer of STIC Center -Da Nang University Of Science And Technology; A Method for Link Quality Estimation in LoRa Network based on Support Vector Machine; Metric Corrections in raw data in the Machine Learning; Integrating Virtual Reality and GIS Tools for forest firebase simulation (Tentative).

    The conference is a good opportunity for experts and businesses to meet and exchange technology and work experience with each other. The event attracted many domestic and international professors and associate professors (Russia, France, Indonesia, ...) and leaders of large enterprises, showing the interest in converting to digital solutions of enterprises and DPIST wishes to serve and meet all these needs of customers.

    The conference ended successfully, DPIST would like to thank the experts and businesses for their efforts to arrange time to attend the conference amid the complicated situation of the Covid pandemic. The presence as well as the sharing, comments, trust and companionship of the distinguished guests not only contributed to the success of the Conference but also was a source of motivation for DPIST to continue to improve and not stop developing in order to bring to the communities a comprehensive, professional and increasingly optimal solution service.
