- Topic introduction: Reliably doing a vision-based automating process has always been a tough problem in the history of RPA. Attempts to solve this challenge have used many techniques like simple image/template matching and OCR, but these led to reliability and maintenance issues, specifically because even minor changes in the GUI like an icon, font size, background colors would break automation. Fortunately, in the last couple of years, we saw the births of many new computer vision techniques that might finally help us crack this challenge. In this talk, we will summarize some algorithms and apply them for RPA.
