Launching of “University Performance Metrics” (UPM)— the Initial Step towards a Rating System developed by Vietnam

On 18 August 2020, Vietnam National University-Hanoi (VNU) and the ASEAN University Network (AUN) Secretariat jointly organized an international conference to introduce the “University Performance Metrics” (UPM) initiated and developed by VNU researchers. UPM is a rating system, the development of which was funded by the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, to assess the responsiveness of universities in the 4th Industrial Revolution era. The rating system will also provide a tool that will allow universities to be able to form bilateral cooperative efforts like exchange and research programs through its robust criteria.

AUN-QA Programme Assessment Certificates were presented to 8 study programmes who have undergone and passed the AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Mahidol University on 10 August 2020. Registrations for the AASYP Reset: ASEAN-Australia Youth Innovation Challenge are now open!

AASYP Reset is a virtual innovation challenge inviting recent graduates, current university students and young professionals of all disciplines across ASEAN and Australia to collaborate on projects that foster stronger people to people connections between youth in our region. 

 

Work in a team of between two to four people, registered participants will conduct research, apply design thinking approaches and reimagine new possibilities to enhance people to people relations between youth across Australia and the ASEAN region.

 

Eligibility: Citizens of Australia or an ASEAN member state aged 18-29 years.

Registration closes Sunday 13 September 2020.
