Capstone Project is an important content in the training program of Polymer Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Chemical Engineering, University of Science and Technology, The University of Danang. Capstone Project is an initiative to work with businesses to make sure that final-year students can practice and complete graduation projects with real topics from businesses or proposed by the lecturer on the basis of resolving practical technology issues at companies. This is one of the standard requirements for the engineering training programs at French universities and the training models used by the best American universities.

The Council provides direction to the content to ensure that it meets both the requirements of academic and the requirements of the topic's practical applicability. The topics chosen for the capstone project are typically topics that businesses are interested in researching and conducting research on. Students have the opportunity to expose and identify technical challenges, suggest and then use scientific and technological ideas to solve real-life problems at the company, all with the guidance of lecturers and co-instructors who are engineers and experts from businesses (Danang Rubber Joint Stock Company, Mega Vietnam Chemical Company Limited, LAVERGNE Vietnam Company Limited, Siegwerk Vietnam Company Limited, and Masterbatch Vietnam Company Limited). Academically, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Thi Thu Loan, Head of Chemical Engineering said: “After extensive study and research, these Capstone projects are used to evaluate students' knowledge and skills.  The process of implementing for students to carry out graduation projects also affirms the seriousness of the training motto and teaching orientation of Chemical Engineering."
