Chemical Society of Viet Nam visited Chemical Engineering Faculty and awarded scholarships to FCE student

On June 25, 2020, The Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Da Nang University, University of Science and Technology was honored to welcome Mr. Le Quoc Khanh, President of the Chemical Society of Viet Nam, Mr. Do Duy Phi, Vice President -General Secretary Chemical Society of Viet Nam, Mr. Dao Hung Cuong, Vice Chairman of the  Chemical Society of Viet Nam, Chairman of Chemical Society of Da Nang .

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Minh Nhat, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, expressed his gratitude and sincere thanks to the Chemical Society of Viet Nam and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Hung Cuong, Chairman of the Chemical Society of Da Nang closely paid attention to the teaching and scientific research activities of the Faculty and awarded a scholarship to students worth 600 USD. This is one of 5 special scholarships from the Korean Research Institutions for Chemistry students with unconditional circumstances, good research capacity.

Speaking after being honored to receive the scholarship, student Nguyen Thi Bich Dieu, cohort 18SH, majoring in Biotechnology expressed her deep gratitude to the Chemical Society of Viet Nam and the lecturers of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering for giving supports for her to receive a valuable scholarship. This is absolutely a big motivation in making more efforts in studying and scientific research.

During the meeting, the President of the Chemical Society of Viet Nam also mentioned the main duties of the association, including building connection between university and enterprises in constructing training programs and scientific research and bringing activities of the university closely meet the needs of enterprises.

Through the meeting, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering was updated with information on the Voluntary Social Responsibility of the chemical enterprises (TNXHNHC) or RC (Responsible Care abbreviated as RC). This is an organization of the Chemical Society of Viet Nam with the voluntary participation of enterprises producing and trading chemical products of all economic sectors operating in the territory of Viet Nam, to solve the problem such a public concern about the enterprise`s chemicals and chemical production processes.

Mr. Do Duy Phi, President of RC wishes the Faculty of Chemical Engineering will take part through organizing many activities at Da Nang University of Science and Technology: host seminars for students, raising the sense of responsibility of students studying in the field of chemistry.

Hopefully in the near future, with the enthusiastic support of the Chemical Society of Viet Nam, the Chemical Society of Da Nang, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Da Nang University of Science and Technology will have the opportunity to coordinate with the Chemical Society of Viet Nam, with enterprises to organize seminars or participate in training programs as well as participate in National level scientific research tasks in the field of chemical technology, to conduct the mission of the Chemical Society of Viet Nam with concerned organizations, support scientific and technical advances for production of life quickly as well as reinforce the prestige of Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Da Nang University of Science and Technology both national and international.
