Meeting with Mega Vietnam Chemical Company limited

On June 18, 2020, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, the University of Science and Technology, the University of Da Nang have given a warm welcome to the delegation of Mega Vietnam Chemical Company limited at the Faculty Office, 54 Nguyen Luong Bang Street, Da Nang. The delegation of Mega Vietnam consists of Ms. Vu Thi Hue, Head of Administration and specialists, R&D Staff of the company.

During the meeting, Ms. Hue reported to the Faculty lecturer on recruiting 4 graduates of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering in the last time , including 3 engineers who specialize in Polymer Chemical Engineering, have worked in the R&D Department of the company in Hanoi, and 1 engineer in Petroleum Engineering have worked in the Sales Department, in Ho Chi Minh City Branch. The representative of the company thanked the Faculty of Chemical Engineering for supporting the company to introduce postgraduates as well as widely announced Mega's recruitment information so that the recruitment process with the right major took place quickly and conveniently. The company also expressed its satisfaction and appreciation to the quality, including knowledge and skills of the Faculty’s postgraduates from the University of Technology, University of Da Nang. On the side of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Minh Nhat, Faculty Dean, was very pleased with the company's satisfaction with the quality of training and the training orientation of the Faculty in the future, all Curriculum Programs need to be meet the actual requirements of company. To do this, the cooperation of industry company is indispensable. On that basis, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Minh Nhat hoped that the Mega will support the Faculty and curriculum programs to develop the most appropriate outcomes and curriculum program framework.

 

Next, Mega proposed a forthcoming plan for the recruitment of trainees, particularly, there will be 4 final-year students, majoring in Polymer Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering, working as an internship at the Research Workshop of Company for 6 weeks with very good incentives. The students not only have access to a professional and creative working environment but also support accommodation and travel. The internship program will take place in the coming time, from July 6, 2020, to August 14, 2020.

The two sides also agreed to further strengthen cooperation in the field of research as well as training support. In the immediate future, we will consider implementing the co-instruction of the graduation project for students of 2016. This is the form of Capstone Project (Graduation Project in Enterprises) being widely applied at the University of Science and Technology in general and the Faculty of Chemical Engineering in particular, to realize training orientation, research orientation associated with the needs of enterprises. Next, we will organize exchanges for students to help them have the correct orientation in learning as well as training skills. Cooperating research between the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and the company aim at sharing resources and ensuring the proposed training and research objectives are expected to be implemented soon.

The meeting took place in an exciting and warm atmosphere with the Lecturer's Appreciation of the business.
