Leaders of ASEAN Higher Education Institutions share how to provide quality education amidst global pandemic
On 12 August 2020, to celebrate ASEAN Month and the 53rd Anniversary of the Founding of ASEAN, the Commission of Higher Education Regional Office 1 of the Philippines in partnership with the ASEAN University Network hosted a free webinar entitled "Cohesive and Responsive ASEAN 2020: Strengthening Education Collaboration among ASEAN Higher Education Institutions during the COVID-19 Pandemic". University presidents, rectors, and vice chancellors shared their practices in sustaining the delivery of quality education in spite of the pandemic. 

LITEC 2020 focuses on "Personalized Learning"
The Learning Improvement and Teaching Enhancing Conference (LITEC) is a platform for educators to share innovative ideas, research, and the best practices in education. This year, the conference will focus on "Personalized Learning" which is an increasingly method of teaching that incorporates each student's specific characteristics into the process of teaching. 

AUN-TEPL webinar series: What Does Interaction Contribute to the Online Learning Experience

On 6 August 2020, the Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE) organised a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Webinar titled “What Does Interaction Contribute to the Online Learning Experience: Developing Community through Dialogue and Discussion”. During the webinar, which drew an attendance of close to 260 participants across 13 countries, Professor Brett reviewed some of the key understandings from decades of Learning Sciences research on learning and teaching in online settings to demonstrate how and why interaction in online courses can support deep learning.

Rediscover the contemporary performing arts scene in Southeast Asia with BIPAM's “Under the SEA”

Southeast Asian professionals in the contemporary performing arts community come together in an 11-week long virtual conversation to illuminate the unique circumstances of each nation that somehow still feels amazingly familiar—hinting to the how we are more alike than you think. Follow local guides as we find out who we are and how we can inspire one another. 

The talks take place every week on Saturday at 2:00 PM GMT+7 starting 1 August and ending 17 October. The shows are recorded and will be available on-demand.

Ho Renyung, Vice-President of Brand HQ at Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, joins the Young SEAkers on Saturday 22 August to speak about her experience with leading a sustainability-driven hospitality business and the challenges of expanding that business in Southeast Asia and China.
