The first architecture students of UD-DUT was recruited in 1997 in the first effort to establish the Architecture program in Central Vietnam. At that time, the 60 students were taught by a collaborative teaching staff from UD-DUT and National University of Civil Engineering (Hanoi).

In 1998, the Division of Architecture was founded and operated by the Faculty of Civil engineering. Since then, the architecture program was independently run by UD- DUT. To accommodate the growing trend of the Program and the Division of Architecture, on April 13th, 2012, the President of the University of Danang signed the Decision No 1676/QĐ-ĐHĐN on the establishment of the FA – University of Science and Technology.

Through its development history, the Architecture program is the unique program running by the Division of Architecture and then the Faculty of Architecture. The program has produced more than 1000 qualified architects which are highly evaluated by the domestic labor market. Currently, the program has about 580 undergraduate students. Besides, the FA is operating one Master program in Architecture (the first Master program in Architecture in Central Vietnam) with 28 post-graduate students.
