Introduction
The Department of Software Engineering, belonging to the IT Faculty, was established in 2005. The Department of Software Engineering is responsible for teaching modules in the field of software development, such as Data Structures, Analysis and Design of Algorithms, Databases, Systems Analysis and Design, Software Engineering, Software Testing, Programming, Project Management... The Department takes care also of teaching and instructing Graduation projects for students enrolled in Minor of software engineering.
Software Engineering Minor provides general knowledge about the process of developing, managing and maintaining software systems; capability of analysis, design and management of software projects; new methodology and technology so students can grasp and master scientific advances.
Graduates can work as programmers, developers, testers, team leader, project manager, chief information officer (CIO); In addition, graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to be able:
- To work as research and application staffs in information technology institutes, research centers and universities;
- To be lecturers in information technology at universities, colleges, and vocational schools;
- To be managers of projects, information systems, communication networks;
- To continue studying postgraduate to obtain master's and doctoral degrees, becoming experts in IT.

The Department has 12 members, including 09 lecturers, 02 teaching assistants with 07 PhDs, 03 Masters and 01 Engineer.
