On October 28, 2025, the Faculty of Environment, University of Science and Technology (DUT), successfully held the Congress of the Faculty Trade Union for the 2025–2030 term.

The Congress of the Faculty of Environment’s Trade Union took place at a time when the entire country is actively implementing the merger and reorganization of administrative structures, transitioning to a two-level government system. Meanwhile, the education sector is also urgently streamlining its system and carrying out key political tasks in accordance with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, as well as Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, dated August 22, 2025, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development.

The University of Science and Technology has been assigned by the Government to lead the Network of Centers of Excellence and Talent Training in Industry 4.0 Technologies in two key fields: Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Industry in the Central Region. In addition, the University is also one of the 11 institutions responsible for training human resources for the development of nuclear energy by 2035.

The Trade Union Congress is a broad, democratic political activity — a festival for union officials, members, and the organization itself — under the motto: “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Innovation – Development.” The Congress aims to summarize and evaluate the results of implementing the previous term’s resolutions; identify directions, goals, tasks, and feasible solutions for the new term; review the leadership performance of the Executive Committee (EC) of the previous term; and elect outstanding officials with intelligence, integrity, competence, and reputation to join the new EC, meeting the requirements of trade union work in the current context.

The Congress elected the new Executive Committee of the Faculty of Environment’s Trade Union for the 2025–2030 term, consisting of three members: Hoàng Ngọc Ân, Võ Diệp Ngọc Khôi, and Lê Thị Thu Hường. The new Executive Committee will continue to promote unity and enthusiasm among faculty staff and strengthen cooperation between the Trade Union, the Faculty’s administration, and the Party Committee to ensure that the Faculty of Environment continues to achieve outstanding accomplishments in all areas.
