Hydraulic Lab

09/01/2023 16:38

The hydraulic laboratory has been newly invested in and built over the years, and is now equipped with many modern experimental types of equipment to meet the increasing training and scientific research needs of staff and students. The hydraulic laboratory not only serves as a learning environment, experimental practice, and scientific research for faculty and students of the Faculty of Hydraulic Engineering, but also students of the Faculty of Civil & Industrial Construction Engineering, Road and Bridge Construction Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. Furthermore, the Hydraulics Laboratory also accepts PhD and graduate students to conduct their own research and write their graduate thesis.

1. Sediment transport channels

Hydraulic testing of spillways, sluice gates (flat gate, supply valve), conduits, sediment transport channels, and other hydraulic components.

2. Hydrostatic pressure testing

Testing hydrostatic pressure to determine residual pressure and vacuum pressure

Hydrostatic Pressure Testing

3. Flow pattern model

Experiment with a model to determine the discharge from the rain model.

Rainfall - Flow Model (HM145 hydrology)

4. Transport Channel Experiment

Hydraulic testing of spillways, culverts, piers, canals, and other structures...

Sediment Transport Channel (S8 MKII)

5. Pipeline hydraulic loss testing (Water supply and drainage)
