Two projects of students from Faculty of Transportation Mechanical Engineering have ability to apply in the reality

On December 12th, Department of Science and Technology and Youth Union of Da Nang city organized a summary of the contest "Science Research Students in Danang city in 2019".

This is the third time, the contest has been held. According to the organizers, if in 2017 there just had 43 subjects and products for the contest, which had increased to 72 in 2018 and up to 113 for this year.

"The Organizing Committee also supported more than 160 million VND for 8 universities held in the grassroots competition round, thereby selecting topics and products to be submitted to higher-level exams.

And from 735 grassroots-level topics and products, there are 113 subjects and products submitted to city-level projects. We have selected 28 topics for general reference" - Mr. Tran Van Hoang - vice president of Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang, Head of the organizing committee of the contest said.

Subjects and products submitted to the contest this year are considered to be a meticulous investment, especially many topics have been aimed at sustainable development, through dealing with hot issues related to the environment.

According to Mr. Hoang, the contest has contributed to promoting the spirit of scientific research and the creative movement of students at universities, colleges, and intermediate schools in the area.

The Organizing Committee has a plan to connect with nurseries, several businesses in the city to recommend quality ideas, innovation, applicable, and feasible.

In the end, the students of the Faculty of Transportation Mechanical Engineering were honored to be awarded the first prize by the Organizing Committee for the topic: "Research on the design of watercraft to collect beach waste, water surface" by the authors: Vo Anh Khoa, Truong Van Binh, Tran Van Nhat, Vo Van Khoa, Le Thanh Trai, Dinh Van Hiep (Faculty of Transportation Mechanical Engineering- The University of Da Nang, University of Science and Technology).

The topic winning the second prize is: "Research, design, and manufacture of garbage collection facilities and beach surface improvement" by the group of authors: Nguyen Van Thinh, Nguyen Thanh Tam, Nguyen Ngoc Huynh, Nguyen Quy Phi (Faculty of Transportation Mechanical Engineering- The University of Da Nang, University of Science and Technology).
